How Much: $10

What to Bring: Bring at least 5 (but shoot for 10) 4x6 photos of your kids. Ensure they are "cropable" to about 2x3 (in other words, not a close up shot, but a shot where their heads are farther away)

What you will go home with: 5 hand-stamped and embellished ornaments for Christmas! Perfect presents for grandparents!





Here are the Close To My Heart supplies we will be using for the workshop: The ornaments, the embellishments, and the papers!

340 Cards for Operation Write Home!

Time for a SHOUT OUT to all the ladies that helped me out this morning. We made 340 cards for Operation Write Home in 3 hours! Woohoo! Special thanks to a few of you that also came over to my house earlier this week to prep the stamping and cutting part. Marla, Robin, Jenna, and Michelle...my "prep" ladies! And thanks to Dailah, Hannah, Hannah (2), Robin, Marla, Laura, Wendy (and your two daughters!), Sherette and Rebecca, Penny, Merle, and I think I might be forgetting one or two others who were there but I can't remember the names!

Everyone's help was much appreciated! I can't wait to do it again!

Operation Write Home Bloghop!

Welcome to the Veteran's Day Weekend Bloghop, sponsored by Operation Write Home! Welcome hoppers coming from Jackie's Blog!

Our bloghop mission was to make a Valentine's Day Card! Since we're making cards for soldiers overseas, we need to be a month or two ahead of the game! The deadline for Christmas Cards has passed and next holiday OWH needs cards for is Valentine's Day.



My card was made using Close To My Heart's Silhouette Creative Basics paper (no longer available). The "I love You" stamp from CTMH's "Dainty Thoughts" C1350 stamp set, and the "Truly, Madly, Deeply" stamp from CTMH's "Priceless Love Word Puzzle" D1348 stamp set. The words were stamped in CTMH's Amethyst ink, and the distressing in CTMH's Archival Black ink. Lastly, three Prima flowers were added, in various shades of purple, along with black brads. The card base was made from natural brown cardstock (not sure of the name, but the brown paper bag type paper). And that's it! Simple but cute card.





So let's start making Valentine's Day cards for OWH! We need to get tons of these cards completed and sent overseas by the 7 Jan 2011 deadline!

Christmas Card Workshop!

Are you ready to make some Christmas Cards? Get a head start on the Holiday season and start making them in October!

When: Thursday, 7 Oct
Morning Workshop: 9:30-11:30 am (kids welcome)
Evening Workshop: 7-9 pm
Where: My house

There are 8 different cards to chose from! The normal price is $1 per card, but I'm offering them cheaper the more you make. The price is as follows:

5 Cards = $5
10 Cards = $9
15 Cards = $13
20 Cards = $16

Many people ask how you can make 20 cards in 2 hours. It's simple. Mass production! I always have everything pre-cut, but when you are stamping 3-5 of the same card (instead of just 1), those extra cards just take minutes to do!

You are asking, "Are you serious?" Why yes, yes I am!

Join me for a Saturday night scrapbook workshop where you will CREATE and TAKE 12 complete layouts (24 12x12 pages)!

When: Saturday night, 2 Oct, 6-10 PM
Where: My House
How Much: $25 for EVERYTHING

Everything includes all your paper and card stock, ribbon, stickers, and brads.

You need to bring your paper trimmer (although I have a few extras if you forget), your adhesive, and YOUR PHOTOS! Yes, that is the biggest part of your "homework" before you attend next weekend. We are creating 12 layouts, so the easiest way to "build" your album is by making a layout per month, for the entire year. Other ideas can include a baby book, which still falls into the one layout per month format. Print between 6-8 photos for each month (layout).

These scrapbooks are PERFECT to make for a gift for a parent or grandparent. The "year in review" of you child(ren) for them to cherish! I made two of these books last year. One for my mom and one for my mother-in-law. Click the links to check them out!

Fall Card Making Workshop

It's time again for another Card Workshop! This is my second to last card workshop I'll be having before activating in the Reserves in October. I'll be in Germany for three months, so my next workshop will probably be mid-late January :-( You gonna miss me?

The theme is "FALL"! Lots of leaves and seasons of thanks. As usual, everything is supplied (ink, stamps, card stock, paper, adhesive, embellishments, envelopes). Just bring YOU, and $1 per card that you plan to make!

Morning and Evening Card Making Workshop

Come on over and make some cards! I'm having a morning and evening workshop to try and fit everyone's schedule!

Thursday, 9 Sep, at my house. The morning workshop is from 10-Noon, and the evening workshop is from 7-9 pm. Children are welcome at the morning workshop.
