Card Making Workshop

I can't believe it has been 3 months since I've hosted a workshop!

I'm excited to host the first workshop of summer! Many of you have kids out of school, but don't let that stop you from coming. You can bring your kids and they can play with my kids while we make these cute cards using the Sophia paper collection from CTMH.

The workshop will be Tuesday morning, 12 July, from 10-Noon at my house.

Here are examples of the cards you can make:



Make as many or as few as you'd like. They are $1 each and come with envelopes. Buy 10 get one free!!! I have stamps for all occasions, and these examples show Thank Yous, Congrats, Happy Birthday, etc., but you can always choose something else (I have TONS of options).

8x10 Framed Scrapbook Page Workshop

Join me to make a super fun and colorful "scrapbook page" in a frame. All you need to bring is THREE 4x6 photos whose colors complement each other. That's it!!!

I'll have the rest of the "ingredients", from buttons, brads, flowers, ribbon, paper, wooden frame and wooden letter. You can select a color theme for your project, and we'll get to work!



To RSVP, I will need you to tell me if you want a BLACK or WHITE frame, and what LETTER you want for your frame (I'll buy them in matching colors). My example is a frame for Trevor, so I used the letter T. If you are doing a frame for one child, I suggest you do likewise. if your three photos consist of your entire family, then perhaps the letter of your last name?

I will hold the workshop twice on Thursday, 31 March. From 0930-1130 and then again in the evening from 7-9pm. The cost is $15 and covers the price of materials.
**Note, I can lower the cost to $10 if you want a cheaper frame. For the $15, I am buying the pictured frames which are $21 at AC Moore and REALLY nice (I'll use a 40% off coupon for them!). But, if you can only afford a $10 project, I have no problem buying a cheaper (still 8x10) frame for you. Just let me know!!!

"Game On" Scrapbook Workshop

Time for a "Sporty" workshop?




This workshop isn't just for those of us with boys. These sports themed layouts can be used for a child's soccer or baseball games, or even a family trip to a big sports event.





The workshop is THIS Saturday night, 22 Jan, from 6-10 PM {at my house}. You will be provided all the materials (CTMH Level 2 paper pack and 4 Sheets of Stickease)...just bring a paper trimmer and your adhesive.

We will create 4 Layouts (that's 8 12x12 sheets), and for fun will make 3 cards and a craft jar out of our leftovers! The cost is only $20!

Pink and Brown Card Workshop

I just LOVE pink and brown together! Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I find it appropriate to have a card workshop that offers both regular cards (Thank You's and Happy Birthday's) but also LOVE cards and Valentine cards! Not only will you be able to make a few for upcoming celebrations, but you can also make your honey a cute Valentine card! No need to spend $3.49 for one at the store! These are just a buck!

Per usual, my card workshop will be offered both morning and evening. The dates and times are as follows:
Thursday morning, 20 Jan, 0930-1130, bring kids if you want!
Thursday evening, 20 Jan, 7-9 pm

Cards are $1 each, but if you make 10 you get the 11th for free~!

I used Close To My Heart's Studio J website. I ordered my 12x12 layouts and they should be coming in the mail by week's end. I'll let you know what I think once I get them into an album!

Christmas Ornament Workshop

When: Thursday, 9 December, 0930-1130

Where: Amanda's House

How Much: $10

What to Bring: Bring at least 5 (but shoot for 10) 4x6 photos of your kids. Ensure they are "cropable" to about 2x3 (in other words, not a close up shot, but a shot where their heads are farther away)

What you will go home with: 5 hand-stamped and embellished ornaments for Christmas! Perfect presents for grandparents!





Here are the Close To My Heart supplies we will be using for the workshop: The ornaments, the embellishments, and the papers!

340 Cards for Operation Write Home!

Time for a SHOUT OUT to all the ladies that helped me out this morning. We made 340 cards for Operation Write Home in 3 hours! Woohoo! Special thanks to a few of you that also came over to my house earlier this week to prep the stamping and cutting part. Marla, Robin, Jenna, and Michelle...my "prep" ladies! And thanks to Dailah, Hannah, Hannah (2), Robin, Marla, Laura, Wendy (and your two daughters!), Sherette and Rebecca, Penny, Merle, and I think I might be forgetting one or two others who were there but I can't remember the names!

Everyone's help was much appreciated! I can't wait to do it again!
