"Game On" Scrapbook Workshop

Time for a "Sporty" workshop?




This workshop isn't just for those of us with boys. These sports themed layouts can be used for a child's soccer or baseball games, or even a family trip to a big sports event.





The workshop is THIS Saturday night, 22 Jan, from 6-10 PM {at my house}. You will be provided all the materials (CTMH Level 2 paper pack and 4 Sheets of Stickease)...just bring a paper trimmer and your adhesive.

We will create 4 Layouts (that's 8 12x12 sheets), and for fun will make 3 cards and a craft jar out of our leftovers! The cost is only $20!

First Digital Scrapbooking Attempt

I used Close To My Heart's Studio J website. I ordered my 12x12 layouts and they should be coming in the mail by week's end. I'll let you know what I think once I get them into an album!

Boom-Di-Ada Make & Take!

Time for another Saturday Night Make & Take! Saturday, 28 Aug, 6-10 PM at my house.

We will be super busy creating 8 12x12 Scrapbook pages, a craft jar, and 4 all-occasion cards from our "scraps". You will have additional scraps to go home and make 6-8 cards.

The cost is $20, and you will be provided a CTMH level 2 Boom-Di-Ada paper pack, a Boom-Di-Ada sticker pack, and a Mason jar. Please bring your own paper cutter and adhesive.

Christmas Crop in August!

Do any of you have photos from Christmas that have yet to be scrapbooked? I sure do....from last two Christmases actually! Mark your calendars for Saturday, 14 August! 6-10 PM!

I've had the paper packs for a Christmas scrapbooking Crop since...well, you guessed it...Christmas...and I'm just now getting around to making the 8 page patterns and now I'm ready to host a crop! Space is limited to the first 5 who sign up.

The 4-hour Saturday Night crop will cost $20, and will include the Close To My Heart Jingle Level 2 paper pack ($12.95) and the Jingle Stickease ($4.95). We will build 8 pages (4 layouts) with the 24 page paper pack. You will be cutting lots of paper and stamping lots of cute holiday images. All inks, stamps, and embellishments for your layouts will be provided. To end the day, we will make 4 cute Christmas cards with our scraps!!! You will have more scraps left over that you could probably make and other 6-8 cards with once you go home!

Cards from Scraps!!!


All you need to do is bring a paper trimmer and your choice of adhesive. I love the removable dotto (find at Hobby Lobby or AC Moore). And, of course, your 20 bucks!

Family Photo Shoot

These family portraits were taken last April. I am just getting around to scrapbooking them! Like I've said before, I am ALWAYS a year behind (although I sometimes scrap a "recent" event out of order).

My good friend in Korea, Kathee McKee, took these photos for us. She is so sweet and she seriously did all of the shots in 15 minutes! It was awesome and they turned out great. Here are 3 layouts from the photo shoot:





The paper I used is from Creative Memories...yes, I know I sell CTMH...BUT I do not use their stuff exclusively. CM is really coming up with some cute stuff (unlike 10 years ago when I started scrapping with their basic "shortcuts" haha!). This is the "Black and White" paper pallet, with paper flowers, ribbon, and 4.5 x 6.5 inch papers pre-cut. it made it easy to mat my photos and I got the whole project done in about an hour! Scrapbooking Fall

I completed 4 layouts in the last week or two. It has been slow going on this one! Probably because I had all these doilies and it was hard to make them look cute. Perhaps it is a bit overkill with the doilies? What do you think? Anyway, it was a free paper and stamp pack from CTMH, the Felicity Collection. Not bad for free, eh? :-) All I had to do was spend $125 and I got it free!

Scrapbooking Okinawa Japan

In keeping the tradition of being about a year behind in my scrapbooking...here's our trip to Okinawa, Japan from last February! The trip was a good one, very blog worthy (click here to read about the entire adventure). Below are the layouts I completed in the last 36 hours! Yeah, that's right! 8 pages done in less than two days! Woohoo!

Scrapbooking Disney World!

OK, no CTMH plugs here. These are just layouts from our Nov 09 Disney World trip, 14 pages (7 layouts). I've been working on these for about a week. All were done with Disney paper from the local scrapbooking store. Just because I sell CTMH stuff doesn't mean I am exclusive :-)

Scrapbooking China

I haven't scrapbooked any of my own stuff in the last few months since I was busy working on the two big scrapbooks for Christmas gifts. Now I'm even more behind than I was, but I plan on getting caught up (yeah right, will I ever be?). Here are a few pictures of our China trip from May 2009. I made 6 pages, 3 layouts. I had a ton more pictures, but I'm into simplification :-)

OK, here is project #2 for Christmas. 12 months, 7 grandkids, multiple pictures of each kid for each month. 25 pages. DONE! 4 days until Christmas!
