Scrapbooking Fall

I completed 4 layouts in the last week or two. It has been slow going on this one! Probably because I had all these doilies and it was hard to make them look cute. Perhaps it is a bit overkill with the doilies? What do you think? Anyway, it was a free paper and stamp pack from CTMH, the Felicity Collection. Not bad for free, eh? :-) All I had to do was spend $125 and I got it free!

Card Making Workshop!

Time for another card making workshop! Join me on Thursday evening, 4 March, from 7-9 PM. All supplies included (cardstock, paper, ribbon, adhesive, envelopes, stamps, ink, etc.)...just bring yourself! $1 per card, or buy 9 get 1 free (90 cents each). This paper pack is cute with a very antique feel. You can stick to the black and white theme, or throw a little red in like I did in a few of the samples.

Scrapbooking Okinawa Japan

In keeping the tradition of being about a year behind in my scrapbooking...here's our trip to Okinawa, Japan from last February! The trip was a good one, very blog worthy (click here to read about the entire adventure). Below are the layouts I completed in the last 36 hours! Yeah, that's right! 8 pages done in less than two days! Woohoo!

Scrapbooking Disney World!

OK, no CTMH plugs here. These are just layouts from our Nov 09 Disney World trip, 14 pages (7 layouts). I've been working on these for about a week. All were done with Disney paper from the local scrapbooking store. Just because I sell CTMH stuff doesn't mean I am exclusive :-)

Card Making Workshop!

Add up all the cards you send each year, from Birthday Cards, Happy Anniversary Cards, Thank You Cards, etc....10? 15? 20 cards? Do you go to Hallmark last minute and buy a card for $3.49? That can add up, not to mention it can be time consuming making many trips throughout the year to buy one card each time. Get a head start this year! Make a handful of cards at ONE 2-hour workshop! You can make them say WHATEVER you want! I have stamps for every occasion!

Make 5 cards for $5! That's a buck a card! or, make 9 cards and get the 10th free! That's only 90 cents each! All cards come with envelopes and I provide all the supplies (paper, cardstock, stamps, ink, adhesive, ribbon).

Scrapbooking China

I haven't scrapbooked any of my own stuff in the last few months since I was busy working on the two big scrapbooks for Christmas gifts. Now I'm even more behind than I was, but I plan on getting caught up (yeah right, will I ever be?). Here are a few pictures of our China trip from May 2009. I made 6 pages, 3 layouts. I had a ton more pictures, but I'm into simplification :-)

Stampin' Christmas Cards

I made my Christmas Cards this year! Yup, all 100 of them! It was rather easy, and about the same cost as ordering the 45 cent 4x8 photo cards from Snapfish. Well, same cost if you don't count my HOURS of free labor, haha! I think they were more personable this way and a better texture for sure, with the ribbon and textured cardstock. Here is a picture of my creation!



And sticking to my accountant background, here is the cost based accounting (cost per item made).
Black Cardstock = $10.50 for 60 sheets = 8.75 cents per 4x8
Ribbon = $5.00 for 5 spools = 5 cents each
Photo = 80 were 10 cents each, and 20 were 15 cents each = averages 11 cents each
Adhesive = 2 rolls @ 2.49 = 5 cents each
Envelopes = $9 for 100 = 9 cents each
White Cardstock = 5 sheets @ 50 cents = 2.5 cents each
Stamps and ink = sunk cost = already had them and didn't exhaust supply
Grand total per card = 41.25 cents! Woohoo! Cheaper than the 45 cent prints from Snapfish! And cuter, too!
